COSMIC EARS MCP

PUBLIC OBSERVATIONS. LOCAL SCIENCE.

Give your AI ears
to the universe.

Explore genuine radio observations, listen to available recordings, and investigate signals using Claude, Codex, and other MCP-compatible assistants.

No radio hardware or paid API key required by the server.

01 / REAL RECORDING

Hear it. See it. Check the source.

HUMAN-MADE SATELLITE TARGET
Measured spectrogram of a 15-second satellite observation, with energy spread across audio frequencies and a dark band near five seconds.
SatNOGS observation 15191199 ↗ · 12 October 2026, 20:55 UTC
PE0SAT / PE0SAT-12 · SatNOGS / Libre Space Foundation · CC BY-SA 4.0. First 15 s, resampled 48 → 16 kHz, mono PCM16; STFT. Possible clipping.

Edited replay of actual MCP output, not a Claude/Codex screen recording. The audio plays from 12–27 seconds. Credits and transformations.

02 / YOUR FIRST SIGNAL

One command to check the connection.

Install uv, then run this in Terminal or PowerShell. It checks a real MCP handshake and an offline 440 Hz test tone.

Ask

“Find a genuine satellite recording, play an excerpt and show its spectrogram.”

02

Inspect

Get audio, a measured plot, digital signal metrics, observer credits and the original source.

03

Question

Separate what the evidence shows from interference, receiver effects and unknowns.

03 / CURIOSITY, WITH LIMITS

Good science keeps its labels.

These SatNOGS recordings target human-made satellites. They are receiver-demodulated electromagnetic signals, not sound traveling through space. Audio-frequency bins are not calibrated RF measurements. Nothing here detects aliens.

The educational demo is explicitly synthetic. Jupiter listening references stay source-linked where redistribution rights are unclear. No live telescope feed is promised.
